Cathy Cirko has been named director general of The Environment and Plastics Industry Council (EPIC), replacing Sandra Hill, who is retiring. Cirko has worked with EPIC since 1996. In another CPIA announcement, Mimi Nadiesta Singh has assumed the newly created position of director, Environmental Health and Safety. Singh will be responsible for issues and activities concerning polymer R & D, use, manufacturing, and disposal on health, safety, and the environment.

Wes Lucas has been appointed to the position of president, Styrenics, at NOVA Chemicals Corp. Lucas started his career with NOVA Chemicals in January of 1998 and has overseen significant growth of the Styrenics business. NOVA’s Styrenics business consists of 14 manufacturing plants in the U.S., Canada and Europe.
