Louis Hebert has been promoted to the newly created position of sales and marketing manager for Hasco Canada (Scarborough, Ont.). Hebert will coordinate Hasco Canada’s sales efforts for its hot runner products, special machining and standard mold components.

The Canadian Plastics Industry Association (CPIA) has announced that Colin Reichle is the new executive director of CPIA West (Edmonton, Alta.). Reichle is trained in association and business management, and has extensive senior management experience.

Chris Pappas has joined NOVA Chemicals (Pittsburgh, PA) as senior vice-president and president of the styrenics business. The company is the third largest producer of solid and expandable polystryrene in the world, with a total capacity of about 3.8 billion lb.

PCL Plastics Corp. (Oakville, Ont.) has announced two new executives. Daniel Boris has joined the company as president and chief operating officer. He replaces Bud Smith, who has left the company. Also joining the company is Tim French, as vice-president, operations.

Frans Grootveld has taken on responsibility for the Canadian Colors division of Ciba Specialty Chemicals Canada Inc. (Mississauga, Ont.). He replaces Joe Babiak, who retired in June after 30 years of service.

Sharon Horniblow has joined Stochem Inc. as customer service manager. She is responsible for the customer service operations in Brampton, Ont. and Lachine, Que. of the specialty chemicals distribution company.

Rick Seely has been appointed district sales manager for Epco Machinery LLC (Fremont, OH). His territory covers Michigan and some parts of Canada.
