Stephen Snopek has been appointed to represent Stephen Sales Group in a sales capacity. He will be a representative of the extrusion products division which includes companies such as Conair, Davis Standard, Dynisco and Littleford Day.

John Carlos Oliveira has returned to the Brampton, Ont. plant of blow molding equipment manufacturer Heins PCM Machinery Ltd. as the company’s new director of engineering. He has been further promoted to vice president of operations.

Brendan Dorney has joined Data Technical Research International (Whitby, Ont.) as regional sales and marketing manager. He will manage Canadian sales activity relating to DTR’s manufacturing software, TMM, a manufacturing management package designed for plastics processors.

Graham Packaging Company announced that John Buttermore is promoted to general manager of the Food and Beverage Business Unit. He succeeds Roger M. Prevot, who is now president and chief operating officer of the company.

Garry B. Davis is now president and chief operating officer of Amcor PET Packaging — North America and vice president, Amcor Twinpak — North America Inc. (Montreal). Amcor PET Packaging manufactures PET bottles and preforms for the beverage industry.

In response to a growing demand for educational materials and programs on plastics, the Environment and Plastics Industry Council (EPIC), a council of the Canadian Plastics Industry Association (Mississauga, Ont.), has appointed Louise Allen to the newly created position of education manager.

Richard (Dick) Klaxton joined Dynisco HotRunners (Gloucester, MA) in the newly created position of manager, technical services–North America. Klaxton will be responsible for defining the service approach and concentrating on the increasing demand for external technical support.

Ventra Group Inc. (Oakville, Ont.) announces the appointment of Phillip Whisman to the position of executive vice-president of Ventra Plastics Group, effective February 14, 2000. His emphasis will be on the continued improvement of the operational performance of all Ventra Plastics Group operations in addition to developing a business strategy that supports future growth in the business.
