Building on a 50-year history, PACex has partnered with one of the world’s top trade show producers, Groupe Exposium, to create a continental packaging, logistics and food processing show for 2003. The rebranded PACex International will be aligned with Exposium’s family of international packaging and food processing technology shows headlined by the EMBALLAGE show in Paris. The Packaging Association of Canada, which manages PACex, has also strengthened the show’s ties to the logistics industry by purchasing the Canadian Materials Handling & Logistics Show. It will be co-located with PACex this year.

With its expansion this year into food processing, materials handling and logistics, will PACex have more or less to offer plastics visitors? Likely more. This broader focus will endear the show to two groups: those seeking to buy plastic packaging; and those making it.

Seeing the future of downstream operations can only help with marketing and product design for package manufacturers.

There is also a significant number of plastic packaging manufacturers exhibiting, which means it’s still a good venue for buyers of packaging.
