A computerized plastics material management system based on gravimetric blending technology, introduced by Maguire, provides manufacturers with unprecedented capabilities to optimize raw material consumption for a single plant or worldwide multi-plant operations.
The Gravimetric Gateway Materials Management System, using Linux software (an operating system in industrial applications) is a hardware/software package making possible rapid two-way communications between PCs and the controllers of Maguire Weigh Scale Blenders on multiple processing machines. The system tracks material consumption by weight for each machine to provide complete plant-wide or company-wide material management.
The system offers easy custom programming to meet specific plant operating requirement; and virtual instant accessibility for addition of new gravimetric blenders, and frequent product changes to meet just-in-time manufacturing requirements.
