Nozzle combines shut-off valve and gas injection

Incoe’s Gas Injection Nozzle combines a plastic flow shut-off valve and an effective injector of gas into plastic at the injection molding machine nozzle tip.

The one-way, plastic shut-off valve is operated by a combination of an internal spring and gas pressure. The ball check is held in its normally closed position under spring pressure. Plastic injection pressure opens the valve. Closing force is added by a nitrogen gas pneumatic cylinder mechanism to ensure no flow of plastic during the high pressure phases of the gas injection cycle.
