Battenfeld’s injection molding press business has been sold to Madison Capital Partners (Chicago, IL), but customers can expect continuity from the new company: Battenfeld Injection Molding Technology. Regarding Battenfeld Canada Ltd. (Mississauga, Ont.), president Wolfgang Meyer says, “Canada is one of our most successful sales regions, so we certainly won’t be making any changes there.”
ReTech Industries Inc. (High Point, NC) will supply of its single shaft rotary grinder equipment line to Cumberland Engineering (South Attleboro, MA) as the result of a strategic business alliance. The alliance allows Cumberland to integrate ReTech’s rotary grinder with its equipment to provide a two-pass size-reduction system for applications that require pre-sizing of feedstock prior to granulation. Possible applications include large purgings, bales of film, heavy rejects and batches of parts. Cumberland equipment is represented in Canada by P.R. Boon Sales Inc. (White Rock, B.C.), Polytech Machinery Ltd. (Brampton, Ont.) and Lutek Equipement Plastique Inc. (Dorval, Que.).
