Manufactured by Toyo Machinery and Metal Co., Ltd. of Japan, Toyo injection molding machines made their Canadian debut in May at Plast-Ex. The injection molding machines will be distributed in Ontario and Quebec by Dier International Inc. Dier has an affiliation with Maruka USA, which stocks Toyo machines and parts in the United States.

Toyo offers Canadian molders a complete line of all-electric injection molding machines ranging from 35 to 750 tons; hydraulic toggle machines (35-500 tons) and a series of vertical injection molding machines (55-150 ton).

“Toyo was one of the very earliest pioneers in the manufacture of electric injection molding machines,” says Greg Reid, Dier’s president. “They have been producing them for close to two decades.”
