MOLDMAKERS MERGE

Wentworth Mould & Die Co. Ltd. (Hamilton, Ont.) has purchased Izon Industries Inc. (Brampton, Ont.), a moldmaker specializing in thin-wall packaging. Wentworth and its two subsidiaries, North Ontario Mould Co. (Barrie, Ont.) and Accurate Mould Co. (Rexdale, Ont.), produce injection molds and blow molds for the extrusion blow, PET stretch blow and injection blow processes. Izon employs about 50 people. The current management team of Jim Sheffield and Tom Mahaise will remain as co-managers.
