New Castle’s Super Stratablend mixing screw uses changes in the flow channel along with profile variations to increase the dispersive and distributive mixing characteristics that best serve the process application.
Improvements to the original design can reduce color concentrate loading with little or no temperature rise in injection molding applications; increase output without degradation or unmelts in extrusion grade resins; and create a more homogenous melt in shear sensitive materials.
The mixing screw is available for extrusion and injection molding applications.
