A lighter, lower-cost model has been added to Faro Technologies’ line of measurement systems. The Bronze Millenium model offers accuracy of up to +/- 0.102 mm (0.004 in.), and includes the Bronze FaroArm, a laptop computer installed with CAM2 Measure software and training.

The product is intended for companies that don’t have large capital equipment budgets but are feeling pressure to improve dimensional quality, explains Scott Adams, director of sales for Faro.

The Bronze model has open architecture, light weight and a universal mounting base for portability, quick probe calibration and internal counterbalance.
