Several grades of Thermoplastic Rubber Systems’ Nexprene thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPV) have been approved by both Ford and DaimlerChrysler for use in injection molded, extruded or blow molded parts made for these firms.

Specific grades approved are available in natural or black and range in hardnesses from 55 Shore A to 50 Shore D.

According to Thermoplastic Rubber Systems, some Nexprene materials have 30 percent higher tear strength than established competitive materials, and tensile strength as much as 10 percent greater.
