Materials: Rubbery thermoplastic urethane elastomer

New thermoplastic urethane alloys developed by GLS Corp. are designed to impart a rubbery, soft-touch feel and a rubber matte finish surface appearance. The Versollan TPE alloys contain specialty thermoplastic polyurethanes from BASF Corp.

The Versollan resins are available in Shore A hardnesses of 55 and 65, with a 45 Shore A grade to follow shortly.

The alloys can be insert- or two-shot, molded directly onto a variety of substrates, including PC and ABS.
