Ampacet is launching an initiative it says will enable customers to reduce development and production costs for bottle manufacturing. The Total Bottle Cost Reduction (TBCR) program, to be showcased at NPE, is intended to help the molder and packager reduce total bottle cost, decrease time to market and improve sales of packaged consumer brands. The program addresses bottle construction, molding process optimization and color innovation.
“We can formulate bottles with alternative pigments, higher loaded color masterbatches and a variety of inexpensive opacifiers in the middle or inner layers to reduce the use of expensive colors in the outside layers,” says Doug Brownfield, Ampacet strategic business manager.
