A polycarbonate film with a chrome look is now available from Bayer Plastics’ Film business. Makrofol DPF 5016 is designed for applications that require a bright chrome look, such as automotive interiors, backlit deadfront graphics and telecommunications applications.

The film has a gloss first surface and a matte second surface; both surfaces are printable. It can be formed by both high-pressure forming and hydro-forming.

The new effect for flat or formed applications is part of Bayer Plastics’ Fantasia line of colors and special effects.
