Masterbatch brightens up retainer carrying case

Glenroe Technologies has created a colorful orthodontic case for storing children’s retainers with the help of Clariant Masterbatches’ Splash effect masterbatch formulation. The case is designed with the appearance of red, green, blue and yellow confetti scattered throughout the clear polypropylene resin. Sales of the case have been brisk in the few short months since its introduction, according to John Bozman Sr., president of Glenroe, located in Bradenton, FL.

Splash is a proprietary Clariant masterbatch formulation technology that creates unique effects such as simulating marble, wood or tortoise shell in a variety of base resins. One advantage of the technology in injection molding applications is the ability to produce parts with no two ever being exactly alike.
