Robots with carbon fibre fabricated components enable extremely high accelerations and top speeds which directly reduce total molding machine cycle times, according to Wittman Robot and Automation Systems. Several models of Wittmann’s new robot series are available with this fabrication technology.

Robots can be manufactured with carbon fiber composite material in their vertical axis, as well as the kick axis. This significantly reduces the robot’s moving mass. As a result, ultra-high speeds and accelerations up to 12 g’s can be achieved.
