Plastics compounder and sheet manufacturer The Lavergne Group has installed additional twinscrew compounding capacity at its facility in Ville d’Anjou, QC. The new machinery adds 20 million lb. to the company’s annual capacity. The additional capacity will be used to develop and supply new business; especially anticipated strong growth in several new nylon product lines. The Lavergne Performance Compounds (LPC) division of the Lavergne Group expects to see significant opportunities for market penetration with its line of new polyamide 6 and polyamide 66 filled resins, VYLON.

“Our organization has made a significant research and development investment in our new filled polyamide products,” said Florin Tofan, vice president of research & development.

Tofan says the VYLON product line consists of glass-fibre and mineral-filled recycled polyamide 6 and polyamide 66 compounds, and helps expand the company’s product offerings to the market.
