Saint-Damien, Que.-based injection molder and extrusion manufacturer IPL Inc. has been awarded a contract estimated at $7 million by Quebec City for the supply, assembly and delivery of 110,700 wheeled carts for recycling.
The delivery of the units began in November 2006 and will continue over a 12-month period.
“We are very proud to have won this first major contract for Quebec City,” Serge Bragdon, IPL’s president and CEO, said. “This contract strengthens [our] position as a partner of choice in the high potential waste handling sector.”
Headquartered in Saint-Damien, IPL employs more than 1,100 people in its four plants in Quebec and New Brunswick.
