Melt Design, Inc. (MDI) has introduced its Internally Heated Molding Machine Nozzles, the newest addition to its Equatemp hot runner nozzle line.

Built to the specifications of the molding machine, the nozzles offer high performance with finite temperature control while they resist burning out and eliminate external heater wire damage during use and maintenance.

Similar to MDI’s popular hot runner systems, the heaters on these new nozzles are encapsulated within the nozzle body. Made from H-13 heat-treated tool steel for optimum durability, they are also compacted to ensure the highest heat transfer rate, resulting in longer heater life.

Additionally, the removable thermocouple is located closest to the tip for accurate temperature reading.
