Milacron is taking vertical insert molding to new heights by adding new 130- and 280-ton versions to its line of compact Magna V vertical injection molding machines. The Magna V 280 version measures only 15 x 7 ft., which is less than half the footprint of comparable tie-bar machines.
A tandem variable volume and fixed-volume pump system eliminates need for an accumulator and provides faster clamping, tonnage adjustability, and unlimited flow for ejection sequences, core pulls and auxiliary functions.
A machine-mounted operator station can be located in several positions around the table, freeing-up floor space. The open area under the table gives operators the option to sit or stand at the machine. All Magna V machines come standard with Milacron’s patented XTREEM PC-based control. The open-architecture control offers Ethernet networking, floppy disk drive, multiple languages, and full-color user-configurable Split Screens.
