A unique artificial intelligence (AI) system with RTM (Real Time Melt) pressure control spearheads the advanced capabilities of Milacron’s new Roboshot i Series injection molding machines. The new-generation Roboshot contains AI “learning engines” that allow enhanced functions in pressure tracing, metering control and mold protection.
The series control now automatically compensates for screw tip leakage, barrel wear and inconsistent shot recovery. It also adjusts velocities and transition points to prevent part flashing; changes screw RPM to maintain desired recovery rate; and provides increased sensitivity in mold protection.
