A microprocessor-based PID hot runner temperature controller from Athena Controls features a newly designed keypad and two large LED displays to speed setup and facilitate operation.

The RMB controller includes Athena’s CompuStep bakeout function that dries out heaters to prevent moisture formation in the mold cav- ity during start-up. It offers built-in loop break, triac failure and autotuning with adjust-able proportional band and rate.
