In response to increased demand for thin-wall injection molded components in electronics, computers and telecommunications, Engel is offering a new high-speed 600-ton toggle machine.
The 60-ton unit has accumulator-based hydraulics for increased injection and clamp speed, as well as simultaneous recovery of screw and clamp motions that results in very fast cycle times.
To enable high-volume mold cooling, a specially equipped water manifold was added. An extra-heavy base ensures structural integrity for fast cycle applications.
The five point toggle system increases locking force by 10 percent, while a massive moving platen minimizes deflection.
