TP Composites introduces three nylon materials designed to be used as glass fibre concentrates. The material is designed to yield greater economy when blended with neat resin to produce reinforced nylon 6/6 composites containing 10 percent to 35 percent glass fibre.

The three new concentrates are nylon 6/6 with 50, 60 and 70 percent glass reinforcement.

When molded as is, these concentrates yield exceptionally high mechanical properties. For example, the 60 percent nylon 6/6 offers tensile strength of 33,000 psi.

When the nylon concentrate is let down to the desired glass content, the molded part offers properties suitable for existing automotive, appliance and construction applications requiring the ability to carry sustained loads.
