Karl Pieper has stepped down as president of Engel North America (Guelph, Ont.), turning over the leadership of the injection molding machine manufacturer to Franz Reiterer. Under Pieper’s leadership, Engel’s North American operations grew from a modest start-up company in 1975 to a corporation that is now responsible for almost one third of Engel’s total worldwide sales. Pieper has also been a member of numerous industry groups, including CPIA and SPI. He will continue as a member of the Engel board.
Reiterer joined the company in April 1999, and has a strong background in management of multinational manufacturing operations.
