GE Plastics has added a little sparkle to Congruency’s new i.Picasso (pronounced eye Picasso) Internet Protocol business phone.
The eye-catching, shiny look of the phones was originally painted on, which was a costly procedure. But GE was able to duplicate the look with an ECO-label conforming flame-retardant resin from its Visualfx portfolio. The Cycoloy FXC630SK is formulated with color and sparkle effect in the pellet to produce metallic-look parts right out of the mold.
The new Cycoloy resins have the processability and chemical resistance of ABS, while maintaining the impact, heat resistance and UV stability of polycarbonate, all of which ensure the i.Picasso will stand up to the rigors of day-to-day office use.
