Equaflow extrusion tooling from Guill Tool addresses common problems that have plagued extruders of wood and plastic composites over the past several years. These problems include warping, twisting, voids, sagging at the product’s centre, unnecessary tolerance variations, reduced production speeds and uneven material distribution.

“With this extrusion technology more precise end products are produced, plus customers save considerable money from reduced material waste compared with manufacturing with ordinary tooling,” says William Conley, sales manager, Guill Tool.

For material distribution, the Equaflow series employs a specially designed, patent pending reservoir system that is unlike any ordinary tooling on the market today.

Equaflow tooling is engineered for solid core, hollow core, single-layered and multi-layered wood composite applications. It is available in two different models, one for single-product throughput and a second for co-extrusion. Possible applications for the co-extrusion tooling include a PVC capstock layer.
