Thermoformer Par-Pak stengthened its in-house extrusion capability and PET-based product line with a custom Davis-Standard sheet system. The line has been especially benefical in helping Par-Pak address customer demand for its Invisible Packaging product line, designed for low-temperature food packaging applications.

The sheet line at Par-Pak’s Brampton, ON, facility is configured to run monlayer, ABA coextrusion and side-by-side clear/black sheet using virgin PET, regrind PET and polypropylene resins. Sheet processed on this line is wound and then thermoformed off-line.

Par-Pak’s side-by-side sheet is specifically engineered for producing one-pieced hinged containers with a clear lid and opaque base. The hinged container design is unique to Par-Pak. The company’s thermoformed product line includes bakery and deli containers, salad containers, catering trays, stationary box containers and blister packs.
