Multibase Inc., a custom compounder of thermoplastic elastomers and engineering polymers, has expanded its MultiFlex line with new extrusion grades for doors and window gaskets.
Multi-Flex TPE A 7005 is a 70 Shore A elastomer formulated to improve surface quality and decrease tackiness levels of typical TPO formulations. Competitively priced as an option to PVC and TPO, it is available in beige, white and black with option to color. A fire retardant version is also available.
Multi-Flex LCn is a new range of elastomers showing enhanced compression at elevated temperatures. Tested under ASTM 395, they achieved values of 15 after 70 hours at 23C, and 20 at 70C.
Multi-Flex D 4400 and D 5302 are designed to be used in coextrusion as the rigid component in dual durometer profiles. These grades provide chemical adhesion to Multi-Flex and EPDM, and ozone resistance and weatherability.
