Barrel air-cooling system approaches water-cooling efficiency
American Kuhne’s Turbo-Air Cooling System for extruder barrels provides all of the low maintenance advantages of conventional air cooling, but with heat removal capability approaching that of water cooling.
The Turbo-Air cooling system is able to hold existing barrel setpoints with confidence on 2.5 in. to 6 in. extruders in the vast majority of applications that require water cooling.
The system combines a high-power blower design with advanced air plenums and shrouds to provide unprecendented air cooling efficiency. Bolt-on cast aluminum finned heaters improve heat transfer.
Turbo-Air can be retrofit to any brand of air- or water-cooled extruder.
