CPI Plastics Group Ltd. is planning to build a new plant in Mississauga, ON, to produce eon profiles for fencing and spa cladding and a new bag-making facility in Wisconsin.
The company has signed leases to have the new facilities designed and built, and plans to occupy both later this year. Total capital expenditures related to the new facilities are expected to be in the range of $10 to $12 million.
The new Mississauga plant will be close to the company’s five other Mississauga locations, and will also serve as its new head office. It will contain approximately 105,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space and 37,000 sq. ft. of office space. It will be able to house about 40 extrusion lines.
The plant being built in Pleasant Prairie, WI, will be used to house the manufacturing business recently acquired from Mid America Bag. It will accommodate the current extrusion business with ample space for anticipated new demand.
CPI Plastics Group produces profiles for a variety of industries, plus the eon brand of decking systems and a line of branded and private label plastic household bags.
