HPM Corporation presents new screw designs which incorporate the latest technology to provide increased output and better melt quality to processors.

The Double Wave screw replaces a metering section with two channels of equal width. The root of the channels vary in and out of phase, allowing for dramatic improvements in melting capacity, quality and stability. Double Wave is typically applied in extrusion and injection molding applications with polymeric materials.

The newest design, a Triple Wave screw, provides improved melting and mixing. HPM’s wave screw technology and barrier technology has resulted in higher screw speeds, where the melting capacity of a screw plays a critical role in creating a homogenous melt.
