Chester Industrial Products’ Linebacker cable protectors help vehicles and workers, including those with disabilities, safely cross over electrical cables and hose lines. The cable protectors are reaction injection molded of Bayflex elastomeric polyurethane, which incorporates toughness, weather and abrasion resistance and a high load-bearing capacity. The Bayflex system also has the ability to perform in a wide range of climatic conditions from -40F to 140F.
The cable protectors had been previously molded using a cast PU process. Switching to RIM provided a number of benefits, including faster processing, fewer secondary operations and the ability to mold-in reinforcing ribs that cut part weight without sacrificing strength.
