Downstream equipment supplier CDS received orders from two extruders for a total of seven dual downstream equipment lines in early 2005. Alan Benlolo, marketing coordinator for CDS (Custom Downstream Systems Inc.) believes the North American market is ready for this type of equipment, which had traditionally been supplied by European suppliers as part of a turnkey extrusion line.

Benlolo notes that CDS can customize a post-extruder line for any application, plus, each side of the dual line can be run and configured independently from the other.

CDS has received orders from Silver Line Windows, a producer of vinyl-based windows, for five dual downstream lines, and from Vinyl Visions LLC, a producer of vinyl extrusions for fencing and railing markets, for two dual lines.
