Dedication Rewarded

SPE Quebec recognized the support of both individuals and organizations at its December meeting by naming Prithu Mukhopadhyay “Person of the Year” and Clariant “Company of the Year”.

SPE Quebec president Martin Vines says Prithu was chosen as person of the year “not only for his contributions as last year’s president, but also for his contributions to our programs. He works relentlessly to increase their quality.” Events that benefited from Prithu’s efforts were the Emerging Topics for the New Millennium Conference, Expoplast and a Minitec conference.

“Clariant without question deserves the Company of the Year award,” says Vines. “In these difficult days it is only too easy for companies to cut back on their contributions to organizations such as ours. Clariant encourages its employees to participate in SPE, recognizing that this benefits both the company and the individual.” Michel Joly of Clariant participates on the board of directors of SPE Quebec.
