Canada’s largest manufacturer of UHMW/HDPE and polypropylene sheet, Symplastics Ltd., has appointed Tom Deans as the company’s new president. Deans was formerly with the CPIA as director of the Automotive Council.
As a result of growth in its business, the Orangeville, ON-based company recently added a new Davis-Standard sheet line with a capacity of five million pounds.
“The new line will allow us to enter the high-resolution market in areas such as sign graphics, point-of-purchase displays and premium packaging,” says Deans.
The company now has 150 employees at its Orangville facility and operates a total of four lines which produce both colored and clear PE and PP sheet.
