A gathering of new and old members, as well as a delegation of CPIA members from Western Canada, were in attendance at CPIA Quebec’s ninth annual conference held in late last year in St. Hyacinthe. CPIA Quebec management committee chairman, Denis Cloutier, reviewed the association’s 1998 activities, which included work on tax credits for companies, development of the plastics industry network and the handling of issues related to competitiveness and the environment. Cloutier also announced that Roch Leblanc, vice-president, Camoplast, would succeed him as management committee chairman for the period of 1999-2000. Germain Archambault, Petromont Inc., was named the committee’s new vice-president.
