Two speakers shed light on topics of technical interest to moldmakers at a well-attended CPIA Mould Makers meeting held in January. Fred Gerson, president of F.T. Gerson Ltd., a consulting engineering firm based in Toronto, spoke on proper selection of steel for design and build of molds, as well as the uses and benefits of electroless nickel coatings in moldmaking applications. Brian Gard, Unigraphics Solutions Canada Ltd., spoke on the uses of software for mold development and design. Pictured here are, lt. to rt.
