Swiss company Bien-Air SA selected Eastman Chemical Company’s Eastar copolyester for a unique new dental package because the resin enhanced the product display characteristics compared to other polymers, cartons or foam.

The transparent dental box consists of a housing and lid, as well as several separation inserts and clips. The box is produced in one family mold each for the housing and lid, and for the insert and clip components, respectively. The latter are molded in various translucent, medically approved colors. Eastar copolyester is a water-clear glycol-modified specialty plastic with mold release. Typical applications are cosmetics packaging, toothbrushes, furniture and refrigerator interior parts, toy and sports articles and housewares.
