Eurotherm has simplified the set-up of extrusion lines and made it possible for operators with little knowledge of process control theory to effectively optimize extruders and melt pumps. An adaptive auto tuning pressure control loop in the Extrusion Master 3 (EM-3) control system accounts for material and machine variations to make consistent product.
The EM-3 control also has Ethernet TCP/IP network capability, a Web-loading capability and the ability to read and write set point values via a custom Web page.
