According to a study recently released by the Business Communication Co., Inc., the market for materials for roofing, siding, windows/doors and interior piping is expected to grow at an average annual growth rate of 2.9%, reaching over $71 billion by 2003, up from $60 billion in 1998. While the study does not exclusively break out the plastics segments of these areas, it is an overall indication of the continued, expected strong performance of the construction industry. The market for roofing materials and doors is expected to be especially strong, with projected growth rates respectively of 3.8 percent and 3.3 percent through 2003.
