A new line of Akro-Mils ESD Containers designed for safe handling of sensitive electronic components is available from Buckhorn Canada. The new container line, based on Akro-Mils’ standard AkroBin and Shelf Bin small parts storage systems, is molded with CarmelStat during the molding process. CarmelStat dissipates electrostatic charges that can damage electronic parts.

All containers deliver a consistent surface resistivity of 106-109 ohms. A one percent carbon black content produces a low-sloughing container which protects components against contamination that can occur with other conductive container types.

ESD containers deflect heat to 300F, and can be washed and reused without affecting the protection.

The ESD line of AkroBins and Shelf Bins features heavy-duty construction for long service life, water, oil, grease, weak acids and alkali-resistance, and ergonomic designs to protect workers.
