Montreal, Que.-based Intertape Polymer Group Inc. has announced plans to relocate production and equipment of a flexible intermediate bulk container operation located in Augusta, GA to three other plants, one of which is the company’s Edmundston, N.B. operation. The relocation and purchase of additional equipment will allow the firm to boost FIBC production by about 25 percent, according to a company spokesman. FIBC containers are made by slitting film into strips and then weaving them into bags capable of handling 5,000 pounds of dry material.
