New EP Wide Track water skis from Wellington Leisure Products (Madison, Ga.) are wider than conventional water skis for exceptional stability for beginner and advanced user alike. High strength and light weight was essential to the design, and Wellington worked closely with Bayer Corporation to develop Baydur 660 IBS polyurethane structural foam for the proprietary RIM process. Compression molding is replaced with a liquid composite process which injects Baydur around a superstructure within the mold tool. Four colour graphics are added during the process resulting in a nearly complete ski right out of the mold.
