Colored prototyping material enhances visualization

The Tooling Systems Group of Vantico Inc. (East Lansing, MI) has purchased the stereolithography business of Avecia Specialties of Britain. Vantico acquired the intellectual property and rights to manufacture and sell two selectively colorable Stereocol stereolithography solid-imaging materials. The products will be distributed and marketed by 3D Systems of California.

Stereocol SL materials permit the production of three-dimensional models and prototypes with red-tinted sections to facilitate visualization.
