Horn Plastics Ltd., D&E Precision Tooling Ltd. and Valro Tool & Die have been purchased by the House of Habib and will be united under the name Horn Plastics Inc. The injection molding and moldmaking operations will continue to operate from the current Whitby, Ont. site, and Ernie Gourley continues as president.
Ali S. Habib becomes chairman and CEO of the new company.
The House of Habib is a diversified, global manufacturing and service company, with interests in the finance, automotive, ceramics, paper and tiles, construction, chemical and plastics industries. Horn Plastics is its first manufacturing site in North America.
Gourley says the new ownership provides Horn Plastics with the critical mass and strong leadership necessary to succeed in the next century.
Horn Plastics is a provider of manufacturing and assembly services for business machine, medical and electrical/electronic industries.
