Boron nitride powders enhance plastic lubricating properties

Advanced Ceramics Corporation introduces two new high-purity boron nitride powders that will improve performance in a variety of plastic compositions.

Grades PT110 and PT112 are large, single crystal materials with mean particle sizes of 50 and 35 microns, respectively. BN powders also come in larger particle sizes (over 250 microns), made from agglomerates of crystals.

BN lubricates naturally, making it ideal for improving the lubricating properties of high wear-resistant parts. It is also thermally conductive and electrically insulating.
