LARGE BLOW MOLDED PANELS, COMPACT ACCUMULATOR HEAD
Uniloy’s new line of FS accumulator heads for industrial blow molding introduces an economical solution to the production of large furniture and storage box panels that require large-diameter tooling but modest shot weight. The low-profile FS heads have a compact, small-volume head design that offers quick color change combined with large-diameter tooling capability. The FS heads cost only about 20% of the cost of a large-volume head that would otherwise be needed to accommodate large tooling diameters.
The FS design uses an affordable fixed spiral head with plunger. A new cylinder arrangement provides increased push-out rates for shorter cycle times, less parison hang time, decreased stretching and more control.
FS heads are available with the following combinations of volume and maximum tooling diameter: 10/15 lb. accepts 14 in. tooling; 15/20 lb. accepts 17 in. tooling; 30/40 lb. accepts 24 in. tooling; 60 lb. accepts 26 in. tooling.
