Syncroflow tooling is designed for advanced applications in which rubber and plastic are extruded simultaneously and in the same tooling. The process provides better adhesion than the standard two-step process, and also eliminates the chance of contamination between layers. The tooling is designed with a barrier that insulates and separates the extruded materials, permitting plastic to be run on the inside or outside layer.

Syncroflow allows for separate concentricity and gum space adjustment on each of both layers. Manufactured from 420 stainless steel, the tooling is available in standard sizes from 1/8 in. to 6 in. diameter. The tooling is intended to open up new two-material applications in markets such as hose, medical tubing and others.
